I was inspired by Eileen Gray's 'Lota' sofa, which she designed in 1924 for her client Lévy. This sofa, with strong horizontal lines originally featured two separate laquered side cupboards on wheels. Instead I made these of slices of plywood, showing the cut side.
The dimensions of the sides cupboards are 33x55x88, and the seat is 55/33x176. The sides slide out to give access to a drawer.
